Large Project of the Year: The Wolverhampton City Centre Public Realm Phase 1 & 3, a collaborative effort involving the City of Wolverhampton Council, Amey, and Taylor Woodrow, secured this prestigious award. The project’s transformative impact on the cityscape and urban environment impressed the judges.
Environmental Sustainability Project of the Year: Our groundbreaking initiative, the mobile recovery and production of gully waste into topsoil, received accolades for its eco-friendly approach. By repurposing waste materials, this project exemplifies our commitment to environmental stewardship.
Safety and Innovation Project of the Year: The Wolverhampton City Centre Public Realm Phase 1 & 3 project also clinched another award, highlighting its safety protocols and innovative design. Our dedication to creating safe and functional public spaces stood out.
Judge’s Merit Award: In addition to the category wins, Amey received the coveted Judge’s Merit award. This special recognition honours outstanding contributions beyond the ordinary. The recipient of this award is the Social Value Team, who delivered the successful Journey to Work event, working collaboratively with Staffordshire County Council, South Staffordshire Council, Wolverhampton Job Centre, Hays, RMS Industrial Ltd, Staffordshire Employability Team, and Staffordshire Care Leavers Team. This Social Value team facilitated local job opportunities, free training, and workshops for local people, improving employability for all. The judges commended the team for their commitment to community empowerment and social impact.
